Managing Your About Page and Testimonials

Training Resource • AGENTVIEW Support

Your Agent Website should help prospective clients understand more than just the properties you work with. It should also help them understand who you are, how you work, and what previous clients have experienced while working with you.

The About Page and Testimonials sections of the Agent Website Builder work together to help establish that connection.

Your About Page tells your story and communicates what clients can expect from you. Testimonials provide additional credibility by allowing previous clients to share their experiences.

Both sections can be updated at any time as your business grows.

Why Your About Page and Testimonials Matter

Real estate is a relationship-driven business. A prospective buyer or seller may visit your website before they ever speak with you.

Your About Page gives that visitor an opportunity to learn about your experience, values, market knowledge, and approach to helping clients.

Testimonials reinforce that message by showing how other clients describe their experience working with you.

Together, these sections can help:

  • Build trust with prospective clients
  • Communicate your professional approach
  • Show your knowledge of the market
  • Highlight what makes your business different
  • Provide real-world examples of the client experience

Updating Your About Page

Step 1: Open the About Page

To update your About Page:

  1. Log in to your AGENTVIEW account.
  2. Select My Agent Website from the navigation menu.
  3. Select the Agent Website Builder
  4. Select the About Page tab in the Agent Website Builder.

The About Page contains two primary sections:

  • Mission Statement
  • About Me Content

Step 2: Create Your Mission Statement

The Mission Statement gives visitors a quick understanding of how you approach your real estate business and the type of experience you want to provide.

This section is a good place to communicate things such as:

  • How you help buyers and sellers
  • Your commitment to your clients
  • Your approach to communication
  • Your knowledge of the local market
  • The values that guide your business

Try to focus less on your resume and more on what a client can expect when working with you.

For example, an agent might explain that their goal is to provide honest guidance, local market knowledge, and dependable support throughout the buying or selling process.

Formatting Your Mission Statement

The content editor provides formatting tools that allow you to customize how your information appears.

You can use the editor to format text and, when appropriate, include additional content such as:

  • Bold or italic text
  • Lists
  • Links
  • Images
  • Video content

Use formatting to make the page easier to read, but keep the presentation clean and professional.

In the example below, a local-area video has been included with the mission statement to give website visitors additional information about the market being served.

Step 3: Complete Your About Me Content

The About Me Content section is where you can tell visitors more about your professional background and who you are as a real estate agent.

Your About Me section can include information such as:

  • Your real estate experience
  • The communities or markets you serve
  • Your specialties
  • Your approach to working with clients
  • Your professional background
  • What you enjoy about helping buyers and sellers

Try to write this section as though you were introducing yourself to a prospective client for the first time.

It should feel professional, but it does not need to sound overly formal.

Mission Statement vs. About Me

It is easy for these two sections to become repetitive, but they serve different purposes.

Your Mission Statement should focus primarily on how you serve your clients and what you want their experience to be.

Your About Me Content should focus more on who you are, your experience, your market, and your professional story.

Using each section for a different purpose gives visitors a more complete picture of you without repeating the same information.

Step 4: Save Your About Page

After updating your Mission Statement and About Me Content, select Save About Page Settings at the bottom of the page.

Make sure your changes are saved before moving to another Website Builder tab.

After saving, you can use Preview My Website to review the About Page as a visitor will see it.

Adding Client Testimonials

Testimonials allow previous clients to describe their experience working with you in their own words.

A strong testimonial can provide prospective clients with reassurance that other buyers and sellers have had a positive experience with your business.

Step 1: Open the Testimonials Section

From the Agent Website Builder, select the Testimonials tab.

The page provides individual testimonial editors where you can enter client feedback.

Step 2: Add Your Testimonials

Enter a client testimonial into each available testimonial field.

AGENTVIEW currently provides three testimonial areas within this section.

Testimonials do not need to be long. In many cases, a short and specific testimonial is easier for website visitors to read.

Good testimonials often describe something specific about the client's experience, such as:

  • Communication
  • Market knowledge
  • Professionalism
  • Responsiveness
  • Negotiation
  • Attention to detail
  • Buying or selling experience
  • Help finding the right property

Keep Testimonials Authentic

Whenever possible, use feedback provided by actual clients rather than rewriting the testimonial into marketing language.

The goal is for prospective clients to hear the experience from the client's perspective.

You can also identify the type of client when appropriate, such as:

– Buyer

– Seller

– Client

This can provide additional context without requiring you to display personal client information.

Formatting Testimonials

Each testimonial includes editing tools that allow you to format the content.

Simple formatting usually works best.

The testimonial itself should remain the focus, so avoid excessive colors, large text, or complicated formatting that could make the feedback harder to read.

Step 3: Save Your Testimonials

After adding or updating your client feedback, select Save Testimonials at the bottom of the page.

[Insert Screenshot 9: Save Testimonials button highlighted]

Your saved testimonials will be used by your Agent Website design wherever the testimonial section is displayed.

Use Preview My Website after saving to make sure the testimonials appear the way you intended.

Keeping Your Content Current

Your About Page and Testimonials should continue evolving as your real estate business grows.

Consider returning to these sections when:

  • You begin serving a new market
  • Your business focus changes
  • You gain additional experience or specialties
  • You receive a strong new client testimonial
  • Your professional message changes
  • You update your personal brand

You do not need to rewrite everything each time. Small updates can help keep your website current and make sure it continues to accurately represent your business.
