Requesting an MLS Connection for Agent Website Pro

Training Resource • AGENTVIEW Support

Agent Website Pro includes Integrated Property Search, allowing your Agent Website to connect directly with approved MLS listing data.

Before Integrated Property Search can be activated, the appropriate MLS organization must approve the website and connection. AGENTVIEW helps manage this process by collecting the required information from you and coordinating the approval steps with your MLS and, when required, your broker.

This guide explains how to submit your MLS Connection Request and what to expect after your request has been submitted.

Before You Begin

The MLS approval process requires information that identifies you, your brokerage, and your MLS membership.

Before starting the request, it is helpful to have the following information available:

  • Your real estate license number and license state
  • Your brokerage and office address
  • Your managing broker's name and email address
  • The name of your MLS organization
  • Your MLS agent or member ID
  • Your MLS office ID, when applicable

Important

You will not be asked to provide your MLS username or password.

AGENTVIEW only needs the membership, brokerage, and identification information required to process the connection request.

Step 1: Begin Your MLS Connection Request

From your AGENTVIEW account:

  1. Select My Agent Website.
  2. Open the Property Search tab.
  3. Locate Integrated Property Search.
  4. Select Begin MLS Connection.

You will be taken to the MLS Connection Request form.

The request process generally consists of three stages:

1. Submit Your Information
Provide your license, brokerage, MLS, and broker contact information.

2. AGENTVIEW Reviews the Request
AGENTVIEW reviews your information and begins the appropriate MLS connection process.

3. Complete Any Required Steps
Some MLS organizations may require additional forms, broker approval, verification, or other authorization before the connection can be activated.

Step 2: Complete Your Agent Information

The Agent Information section identifies the real estate professional requesting the MLS connection.

Complete the requested information, including:

  • Legal First Name
  • Legal Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Real Estate License Number
  • License State

Use your legal and licensing information as it appears on your real estate license and MLS membership records.

Accurate information is important because incorrect or mismatched information can delay MLS approval.

Step 3: Provide Your Brokerage Information

The Brokerage Information section identifies the brokerage and office associated with your MLS membership.

Provide the requested information, including:

  • Brokerage Legal Name
  • Office or Branch Name, when applicable
  • Brokerage Street Address
  • City
  • State
  • ZIP Code
  • Office Phone
  • Brokerage Website, when available

You will also be asked for information about your Managing Broker or Office Contact.

This may include:

  • Broker Name
  • Broker Email
  • Broker Phone

Why Is Broker Information Required?

Many MLS organizations require brokerage authorization before an agent's website can display MLS listing data.

Depending on the MLS, your broker may receive approval forms, agreements, verification requests, or other correspondence related to your Agent Website Pro connection.

Make sure the broker contact information you provide is current and accurate.

Step 4: Enter Your MLS Membership Information

The MLS Membership section identifies the MLS organization you want connected to your Agent Website Pro website.

Select or enter the requested information, including:

  • MLS State
  • MLS Organization
  • MLS Agent or Member ID
  • MLS Office ID, when applicable
  • Local REALTOR® Association or Board, when applicable

Your MLS Agent or Member ID may also be referred to by your MLS as an agent ID, subscriber ID, or member number.

Your MLS Office ID identifies the brokerage office associated with your membership.

If you are unsure where to locate either number, your MLS organization or brokerage can usually provide it.

Connecting More Than One MLS

Agent Website Pro includes the ability to request your primary MLS connection.

If you belong to more than one MLS and would like additional listing data connected to your Agent Website, select Add Another MLS within the MLS Membership section.

Provide the membership information for each additional MLS you want connected.

Additional MLS Connection Fee

An additional $50 charge applies for each additional MLS connection.

Some MLS organizations may also charge their own separate data-access, licensing, or pass-through fees. Any requirements associated with the MLS approval process will be communicated as your request is processed.

Step 5: Review Your Website Information

The Website Information section identifies the Agent Website Pro website being submitted to the MLS for approval.

AGENTVIEW automatically identifies the Agent Website associated with your request.

Review the information displayed, including your:

  • Website or Business Display Name
  • Website URL for MLS Approval

You do not need to purchase or provide a separate website address specifically for the MLS request when AGENTVIEW has already supplied the website information.

Step 6: Provide Additional Information

The Additional Information and Authorization section allows you to provide information that may help AGENTVIEW process your request.

You may be asked whether you currently have an existing property-search or IDX account.

If you already use an IDX or integrated property-search service on another website, select the appropriate response.

You can also use Additional Notes to provide information that may help with the request, such as:

  • Existing IDX information
  • Previous website information
  • Approval details
  • Special brokerage instructions
  • Other relevant information

Do not include passwords or other sensitive login credentials in the Additional Notes field.

Step 7: Review and Authorize Your Request

Before submitting, review the information you entered carefully.

Pay particular attention to:

  • License numbers
  • MLS Member IDs
  • MLS Office IDs
  • Broker contact information
  • Email addresses

Incorrect information can cause the MLS organization to delay or deny an approval request.

You will also be asked to confirm the required authorization statements before AGENTVIEW can submit and process the request.

These acknowledgments confirm that the information you supplied is accurate and authorize AGENTVIEW to use the information as necessary to begin the MLS connection and approval process.

Step 8: Submit the MLS Connection Request

When you are ready, select:

Submit MLS Connection Request

Submitting the form begins the MLS connection process.

Submission of the request does not mean the MLS connection is immediately active.

The request must first go through the applicable MLS approval and authorization process.

What Happens After You Submit Your Request?

After your request is submitted, AGENTVIEW will review the information and begin processing the MLS connection.

A series of emails may be sent during this process.

Emails may be sent to:

  • You, as the requesting agent
  • Your broker or office contact
  • Other parties involved in the MLS approval process, when required

In many cases, the requester's broker must approve or legally authorize the MLS connection before listing data can be activated.

Your MLS organization may also require additional documentation, agreements, verification, or electronic approvals.

Watch for MLS and AGENTVIEW Emails

It is important to monitor your email after submitting an MLS Connection Request.

Some steps in the approval process may require you or your broker to respond before AGENTVIEW can continue.

If AGENTVIEW needs clarification or additional information, an email will be sent to you.

In some situations, your broker may also be contacted if the question or requirement relates to brokerage authorization.

Responding promptly can help prevent unnecessary delays in the MLS approval process.

How Long Does MLS Approval Take?

MLS approval requirements vary by organization.

Some MLS connections may require only basic verification, while others may require:

  • Broker authorization
  • Agent verification
  • MLS agreements
  • Website review
  • IDX authorization
  • Additional documentation

Because these requirements are controlled by the individual MLS organization, approval times can vary.

AGENTVIEW will continue guiding you through any additional steps required for your connection.

While Your Request Is Being Processed

You can continue building and updating your Agent Website while your MLS connection is being processed.

You can continue working on:

  • Your website design
  • Homepage
  • About Page
  • Testimonials
  • Featured Listings
  • Other available Agent Website settings

Once all required approvals are completed and the MLS connection is activated, Integrated Property Search can become available on your existing Agent Website.

You will not need to rebuild your website.

Important Things to Remember

Your MLS Connection Request is an approval process, not simply a website setting.

The information you provide must match your real estate license, brokerage, and MLS membership information as closely as possible.

Watch your email after submitting the request, and make sure your broker is aware that they may receive an approval or authorization request related to your Agent Website Pro website.

Once the required MLS and brokerage approvals are complete, AGENTVIEW can proceed with activating the connection.
